Bojangles is a beautifully presented 50ft traditional tug-style narrowboat, offering a wonderful combination of classic character, practical accommodation and a thoughtfully designed interior. The steel shell was built by Steve Hudson in 2003 and professionally fitted out in 2005, with distinctive Josher bows, portholes, tug rings and riveted detailing giving her an authentic traditional appearance.
The accommodation is arranged from stern to bow, beginning with the charming boatman’s cabin, followed by the engine room, bathroom, kitchen, lounge and a comfortable sleeping cabin beneath the front deck.
Entering from the bow, the lounge provides a warm and inviting space to relax, centred around a multifuel stove and comfortable seating. Continuing aft, the well-equipped galley features crisp white cabinetry, ample storage and a practical layout, making it well suited to both extended cruising and everyday use. Appliances include a Stoves cooker with four-ring hob, grill and oven, LG fridge with ice compartment, stainless-steel sink and mixer tap, extractor fan and integrated lighting.
The bathroom is particularly well equipped, with a full-size quadrant shower, Whale Gulper 220 pump, Thetford C200 cassette toilet and freestanding sink with mixer tap and pump. Two full-height mirrored cupboards provide excellent storage, while an extractor fan and lighting complete the space.
Further aft is the attractive engine room, housing a Beta Marine JD 30hp diesel engine paired with a Newage PRM 260D2 gearbox. The engine has recorded approximately 1,944 hours and has been serviced as recommended.
At the stern, the traditional boatman’s cabin is full of character and provides a versatile additional living and sleeping space. A Premier Range multifuel stove creates a cosy focal point, while the pull-down table and flexible bed arrangement make this a particularly useful cabin. The bed extension can be used as a single berth or converted into a comfortable full-size bed, providing flexible sleeping arrangements.
Beneath the front deck is a further comfortable sleeping cabin with a king-size bed, four spotlights, 230V socket and useful shelf storage.
Externally, Bojangles has been professionally repainted, with the full external repaint completed in November 2023, complementing her traditional tug styling beautifully. She also benefits from shoreline hook-up, calorifier-fed hot water and 230V sockets throughout. All items currently aboard are included in the sale.
With her distinctive traditional tug profile, characterful boatman’s cabin, versatile accommodation and attractive Steve Hudson shell, Bojangles offers a unique opportunity to own a well-equipped and beautifully presented narrowboat with plenty of traditional charm.
