Celebrating Success at Barton Marina Open Day: A Flourishing Blend of Community and Generosity

Posted: 7th August 2023

The rain may have poured, but so did the enthusiasm and support from our incredible community at the Barton Marina Open Day.

Despite the wet weather, the event emerged as a resounding success, raising an impressive £533 for the Canal & River Trust through our charity raffle. Not only did this day bring smiles and excitement, but it also forged new connections, ignited interest in boat sales, and sparked the curiosity of potential moorers.

A Triumph Over Rainy Skies

The weather forecast might not have been in our favour, but our community's indomitable spirit shone brighter than ever.

Families, friends, neighbours and newcomers gathered with umbrellas and smiles, making the most of the opportunity to bond and explore the delights of Barton Marina.

From fantastic live music with DJ Phil Hyde, Fitzy Zuma and Shaun Foster Conley (as seen on ITV's hit series Benidorm!) to delightful food and drink, the energy was contagious, and the camaraderie heart warming.

Canal & River Trust: Charity Raffle

At the heart of our success was the commitment to a cause we deeply care about.

Thanks to your Charity Raffle participation and the incredible prizes donated, we are delighted to announce that together we have raised a remarkable £533 in support of the Canal & River Trust.

Every single pound collected showcased our shared dedication to preserving and nurturing our waterways. This achievement serves as a testament to the strength of unity and collective effort in making a positive impact on our environment.

Fueling Business Growth: New Leads and New Moorers

Beyond the charitable success, Barton Marina's Open Day brought exciting new interest in our marina and boats for sale.

The event provided a perfect platform to speak with boat owners and enthusiasts, resulting in new leads for our boat sales operations, as well as our leisure moorings and residential moorings available at Barton Marina.

Lakeland Leisure Estates were delighted to have the opportunity to celebrate and showcase our achievements at our first ever Open Day at Barton Marina, less than a year after we added the marina to our portfolio. Over the past few months we have substantially invested in the site and have made some significant improvements already, including introducing a Lakeland Leisure Boat Sales office, modernising the facilities and upgrading our walkways to use the award-winning Dura Composites GRP Mesh. We were proud to welcome the public to experience Barton Marina first hand and we couldn't have been happier with the turnout and the positive feedback from our visitors.
