Incorporated in 1990, we're a family run business with a passion for providing exceptional leisure facilities and services across the UK and Spain. We’re proud to have 5 inland marinas, a coastal marina, 3 holiday parks, a growing boat sales business as well as a renowned Yorkshire pub and spa.

We’re looking for an experienced Marketing and Revenue Manager to support our business strategy and continued growth.

About the team

Based in Staveley, near Kendal, the head office team comprises of accounts, payroll, admin, HR, marketing and company directors. The team of 20 enjoy the bustling, community-focused hub of Staveley as well as regular site visits across the UK.

Your new role

As the Marketing and Revenue Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the company wide marketing strategy and managing revenue, distribution and occupancy across our hotels and hire fleet.

You will be responsible for the conception, development and implementation of results-focused, multi-channel marketing campaigns across our leisure and hospitality businesses to drive sales and occupancy. You will be a passionate, strong and inspirational leader with excellent communication skills to nurture internal and external relationships.

Your responsibilities

  • Leading the development of the overall marketing strategy and individual marketing plans for each business.
  • Developing and managing the implementation of creative, memorable and effective marketing campaigns to excel our brand image and product offering.
  • Managing the marketing team of three; Graphic Designer, Digital Marketing Assistant and Sales Marketing Manager.
  • Sourcing and managing third party agencies including PPC, PR, web design and SEO.
  • Identifying ways to grow the capability of the marketing department and secure resources to improve functionality.
  • Focusing on growing engaged audiences who convert to customers through sales, occupancy and appointment reservation figures.
  • Acting as a brand guardian, guaranteeing all marketing materials adhere to the brand guidelines, creating a consistent, coherent and identifiable image for the group.
  • Conducting strategic marketing analysis that will help guide our marketing strategy.
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on all marketing activities, results, and return on investment.
  • Ensuring marketing goals are communicated across the entire business, encouraging onsite teams to proactively promote marketing initiatives to customers.
  • Ensuring that we comply with all current marketing and copyright regulations, with reference to professional standards, policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Efficiently manage annual marketing budgets.
  • Take responsibility for managing the Rezlynx / Guestline occupancy management system, including creating rate plans and promotions.
  • Analyse historical data, current trends, and future projections to guide the pricing strategy.
  • Manage OTA listings including Booking.com, Expedia and Airbnb. Identify and set up new integrations.
  • Review and report on hotel and hire fleet occupancy, pricing strategies and marketing. Provide clear analysis and feedback to the board of directors monthly.
  • Manage yield to include adjusting prices based on factors such as demand, seasonality, special events and competitor rates.
  • Analyse competitor pricing, promotions and marketing strategies.
  • Evaluate booking data such as customer demographics, location, length of stay and booking lead times.


What we’re looking for

  • Working knowledge of website functionality and optimisation, lead generation and creative marketing strategies.
  • Experience with occupancy management systems, ideally Rezlynx.
  • Experience in leading your teams’ day-to-day duties and responsibilities, as well as project managing larger ad hoc projects.
  • The ability to develop strong relationships with cross departmental team members and provide systems training as required.
  • Excellent understanding of regulations, professional standards, policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • The ability to use software packages competently, including Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Rezlynx, CRM systems, Mailchimp, Adobe and Google Business Tools.
  • Willingness to travel once per week to our businesses located across the UK.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a marketing role.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a management role.
  • Fluent level of both spoken and written English.

Marina Cafe | Barton Marina | Staffordshire

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced cook to join our small team to work in the marina cafe at Barton Marina, situated on the Trent and Mersey Canal near Barton- under-Needwood.

You'll help to manage and coordinate the day-to-day operation of the cafe kitchen, providing the highest and most consistent standards of food preparation and delivery. Your ideas on dishes and promotions are always encouraged and supported. You'll be responsible for ensuring that the kitchen and associated paperwork meets the 5 star standard required by the EHO at all times.

We're looking for an experienced Chef to oversee the delivery of our Brunch, Afternoon Tea and Evening menus. The food service hours are 10am - 3pm and 5pm - 8pm, with shifts running 9.30am - 3.30pm and 4.45pm - 8.45pm to allow for prep time and clean down after service.
